Mindfulness and Gratitude Journaling

There are many courses on mindfulness available at university and online currently. The main point to take out of all of this is that focussing on one item at a time has become a difficulty for many people. Our society is functioning on high speed with so much being pushed at us to read, do, be etc. Mindfulness and some forms of meditation are becoming blurred around the edges.

Followed closely are gratitude journals which have taken on in all areas of life. Again focussing on what has gone well in your day and considering feeling thankful for it is a compelling idea. But what happens when it becomes another chore or takes on a monotonous tone? Some good advice would be to have some form of regularity in the writing without forcing yourself to feel guilty if you are not filling up a book of gratitude thoughts each day.
